Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
