The Rivian: Car diagnostics
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a diagnostic check on the Rivian, we connect you with a trusted shop. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Details the shop needs
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
Our part and the shop's part
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
Stay on the road
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. We collect the rental when your car is back. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Talking to the shop
Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Between shop visits
Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
Let us know
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
