Car diagnostics: how we help
For a diagnostic check on the TVR, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Details the shop needs
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
How the arrangement works
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
A car while yours is in the shop
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
Small things that help
Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
