Car diagnostics for the VPG
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a diagnostic check on the VPG we arrange a trusted shop. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
From request to repair
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
A rental while you wait
Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
Good habits for your car
Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
Over to you
One request: the job, the car, and whether you need a rental meanwhile.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
