The 2014 Nissan Versa Note for buyers
No 2014 Nissan Versa Note is for sale by CarmaCars at the moment; this page helps you judge the car before you buy one elsewhere. CarmaCars does not finance cars. Renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check to rent. This page sets out the 2014 Nissan Versa Note for buyers, in plain words.
Recalls and complaints
A private seller in Ontario must give you a Used Vehicle Information Package. Ask the seller for the service records of this exact car. Check whether every recall was done, by the VIN, before you pay. A pre-purchase inspection at a shop you choose is money well spent.
What the specs mean
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Who rents the Versa Note
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
Living with the Versa Note
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk.
A longer test drive
A week of your own driving tells you more than a test drive: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Rent it, live with it for a week, and decide with real experience. Rent the Versa Note first, and buy only if it fits your life.
Picking a year and a trim
Look at a few listings of the same year and trim to get a feel for fair prices. Set a budget that includes tax, licensing, insurance and the first set of tires. If two trims share a powertrain, the difference is equipment, which you can check in person.
Running costs
Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models. Tires, brakes and batteries are the regular costs to budget for beyond fuel. Ask what a set of tires costs for this trim; sizes and prices vary.
