Car hire and the 2019 Audi A4 Progressiv

For a rental car, here is what the 2019 Audi A4 Progressiv brings, and how to request one. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Java and the A4

Java is about 3,178 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Klinefelter, Ibis and Arrowhead Junction.

Reading the spec sheet

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

The combined figure, 7.8 L/100 km, means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $40.95 in energy at our price setting.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

What to expect from the A4

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Booking, step by step

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Rules for renters

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Make a request

If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
