The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX: Car hire

Renting for Bald Knobs

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Bald Knobs starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Bald Knobs is about 568 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Close by are Merritt, Stiversville and Oldtown Flats, each with its own page.

Under the hood

It is powered by the 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged, with four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

Rated at 19.8 L/100 km combined, it needs around 59 litres for a 300 km round trip. Every 100 km costs about $34.65 in fuel at our price setting.

Practical details

It is built for loads that would never fit in a trunk.

Who rents the 1500

It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Can you rent one?

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

The booking steps

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

What to bring

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
