Specs, explained

Its powertrain is the electric motor with all-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

It uses 15.6 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 47 kWh of charge. Rated range: 568 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. The electricity for 100 km comes to about $2.34 at our price setting.

Who the Model 3 suits

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Room inside

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is 425 litres, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Getting one from us

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What to have ready

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

Your booking, in three steps

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
