Car inspection for the RUF: CarmaCars does not do this work itself. Request it and we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one, and we can deliver a rental car to you while yours is in.
A rental while yours is in the shop
CarmaCars does not do this work; you keep driving while the shop has your car. We deliver a rental to you, by the day, at our usual rates.

The RUF: Car inspection
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for an inspection on the RUF we arrange a trusted shop. A good inspection covers brakes, tires, suspension, leaks and rust.
Details the shop needs
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
What CarmaCars does here
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
Your rental while you wait
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
What to ask
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Good habits for your car
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Your move
One request: the job, the car, and whether you need a rental meanwhile.
Request car inspection
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
