Java and the A4

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

What the figures tell you

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 6-speed manual. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

At 8.6 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 26 litres of fuel. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $15.05, and a 300 km weekend about $45.15.

What the A4 is like

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Its 368 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who the A4 suits

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Getting one from us

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Renting: the basics

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

What to expect when you book

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
