A note on Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Java is about 1,933 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The combined figure, 8.6 L/100 km, means roughly 26 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $45.15 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Room inside

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The trunk holds 368 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Rent this car

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What happens when you ask for a car

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Driver requirements

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
