Renting for Haystack

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Haystack starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Haystack is about 3,647 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

If you are near Haystack, Petaluma, Lakeville and Penngrove are close too.

Reading the spec sheet

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Plan on about 23 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.8 L/100 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $40.95 in energy at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

How big it is

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Our A4 cars

We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

The steps

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

What to bring

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
