A note on Knobs

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Knobs. Knobs is about 692 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

The pages for Johnson Crossroads, Elmhurst and Union cover the areas next door.

The numbers in plain words

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Plan on about 24 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.9 L/100 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $138.30 at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Measured bumper to bumper, it is 4.76 m. Check the size of a tight parking spot. In plain terms, its 368 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

In our fleet

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay.

What we need from you

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

What to expect when you book

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

When you know your dates

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
