Specs, explained

Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

Good uses for the A4

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

What the A4 is like

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Our A4 cars

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.

Licence, age and card

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

How it works

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
