Specs, explained

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Practical details

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

In our fleet

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.

Requesting a car

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Before you rent

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
