Freestone and the A4

Occidental, Bodega and Valley Ford are the neighbouring places on our list.

Under the hood

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 25 litres, from its 8.3 L/100 km rating. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

In our fleet

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.

Requesting a car

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

Driver basics

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
