Engine and fuel

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Plan on about 34 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 11.4 L/100 km. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $199.50.

Living with the Q7

Being a full-size SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Is it right for your trip?

It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Can I rent it?

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

What we ask of drivers

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

From your dates to the handover

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
