The 2011 Buick Lucerne: Car service

Here is the 2011 Buick Lucerne, for anyone after a car with a driver. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain here is the 3.9L 6-cylinder with front-wheel drive and a 4-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

The EPA rates it at 11.5 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 35 litres. That works out to about $17.83 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who the Lucerne suits

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

How big it is

As a large sedan, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. At 481 litres, the trunk fits a family's bags for a long weekend.

Can you rent one?

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.

From request to keys

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

What to have ready

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

Still deciding?

Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.
