Renting for Java

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Nearby places include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain here is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Fuel use is rated 7.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 23 litres. In energy, every 100 km costs about $12.09 at our price setting.

When the Escape makes sense

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Living with the Escape

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Renting the Escape from CarmaCars

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What we check

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

From your dates to the handover

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
