Renting the Sterling

What the specs mean

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

Who it is for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Can you rent one?

No Sterling is in our fleet today; ask for one in a request and we search for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

Licence, age and card

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

From request to keys

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
