Java and the Highlander

Java is about 1,474 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

New Hope, Roeton and Frisco are the closest places to Java on our list.

The figures, translated

Under the hood: the 3.5L 6-cylinder and front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Rated at 10.1 L/100 km combined, it needs around 30 litres for a 300 km round trip. That works out to about $15.66 per 100 km at our price setting.

When the Highlander makes sense

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Size and space

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Can you rent one?

Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

Request, offer, keys

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

Before pickup

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
