Around Applegate you will also find Heather Glen, Meadow Vista and Twin Pines.

What the figures tell you

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

It is rated at 7.8 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 23 litres. Every 100 km costs about $13.65 in fuel at our price setting.

Inside and out

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Can you rent one?

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Request, offer, keys

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Who qualifies

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
