The 2019 Audi A4 Technik: Car subscription

For a car by the month, here is what the 2019 Audi A4 Technik brings, and how to request one. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.

Java and the A4

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 3,178 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Also close to Java: Klinefelter, Ibis and Arrowhead Junction.

Reading the spec sheet

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through a 7-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 23 litres, from its 7.8 L/100 km rating. In money, 1,000 km costs about $136.50 at our price setting.

What the A4 is like

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

In our fleet

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Getting the car booked

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

Before you rent

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
