The numbers in plain words

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $12.87 at our price setting.

What the A4 is like

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Can you rent one?

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.

The steps

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Licence, age and card

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

Ready when you are
