The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Renting: the basics

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
