It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Its combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km, which means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $12.87 to drive 100 km.

Good uses for the A4

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

What you need to rent

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
