The numbers in plain words

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The combined figure, 8.3 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $12.87 to drive 100 km.

When the A4 makes sense

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

What to expect from the A4

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. For luggage, 340 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Our A4 cars

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

How to book

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Driver requirements

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
