Engine and fuel

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

How it works

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Before you rent

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
