Reading the spec sheet

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

The rules, briefly

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

From your dates to the handover

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
