Engine and fuel

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

It is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined: about 25 litres every 300 km. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Space and size

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Its 340 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Checking your details

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
