The numbers in plain words

Power: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid; drive: all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Fuel use is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 25 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $38.61 at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Space, size and seats

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

What to expect when you book

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

Driver requirements

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
