The figures, translated

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. For 1,000 km, budget about $128.70 at our price setting.

The A4 in everyday use

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA lists 340 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work.

Getting one from us

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car.

Requirements

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Getting the car booked

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
