Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Licence, age and card

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Requesting a car

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
