Engine and fuel

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through a 7-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Fuel use is rated 9.7 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 29 litres. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $50.91 at our price setting.

Good uses for the Q5

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Space and size

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well. NHTSA's Canadian figures put it at 4.66 m long. It fits most condo and driveway spots.

Rent it from us

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.

What we need from you

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

How to book

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
