Before pickup

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

How booking works

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
