Renting the 2016 BMW X1
For a car by the month, here is what the 2016 BMW X1 brings, and how to request one. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
Under the hood
The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.
By the EPA's combined rating of 9.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 28 litres. Every 100 km costs about $16.28 in fuel at our price setting.
Best uses
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.
Practical details
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The length is 4.44 m. It fits most condo and driveway spots. At 765 litres, the trunk fits bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
