Under the hood
Its 3.6L 6-cylinder drives through a 6-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Fuel use is rated 12.3 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 37 litres. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $190.70.
Living with the Enclave
Being an SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.
A good match for
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Renting: the basics
Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
What happens when you ask for a car
Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
