Car subscription and the 2017 Buick Regal
Want the 2017 Buick Regal as a car by the month? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
The figures, translated
The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Combined fuel use is 9.9 L/100 km: about 30 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $17.33 per 100 km at our price setting.
When the Regal makes sense
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
Living with the Regal
Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Renting the Regal from CarmaCars
If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Renting: the basics
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
Booking made plain
First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
