Renting the 1981 Dodge D50
If you need a car by the month, the 1981 Dodge D50 is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
What the figures tell you
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Size and space
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with.
In our fleet
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
What we ask of drivers
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
Your booking, in three steps
Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.
Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
When you know your dates
The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.

Can I rent a 1981 Dodge D50 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $0 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
