The figures, translated
It uses the 3.7L 6-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 39 litres, from its 13.1 L/100 km rating. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $60.93 at our price setting.
What to expect from the Nitro
The higher seat of an SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.
Who rents the Nitro
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
Can you rent one?
We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Rules for renters
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
What happens when you ask for a car
First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
