The 2000 Dodge Viper: Car subscription
Car subscription: the 2000 Dodge Viper. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
The figures, translated
It is powered by the 8.0L 10-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 50 litres, from its 16.8 L/100 km rating. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $88.20 at our price setting.
Size and space
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo.
Good uses for the Viper
It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Can I rent it?
If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Booking made plain
Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
Who qualifies
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
