Specs, explained
It uses the 8.4L 10-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Fuel use is rated 15.6 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 47 litres. Every 100 km costs about $27.30 in fuel at our price setting.
When the Viper makes sense
It suits a summer weekend or a special occasion more than a move. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
Living with the Viper
As a two-seat sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second.

Renting: the basics
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
How to book
You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
