Car subscription and the 2002 Ford Escape

If you need a car by the month, the 2002 Ford Escape is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.

Specs, explained

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder drives through a 5-speed manual. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 32 litres, from its 10.7 L/100 km rating. Expect about $16.59 per 100 km at our price setting.

When the Escape makes sense

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.

What the Escape is like

As an SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

How a booking comes together

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Before pickup

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

Ready when you are

If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
