Car subscription and the 2012 Ford Escape

The 2012 Ford Escape for a car by the month: the facts first, then the booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.

What the figures tell you

Power: the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid; drive: front-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Expect about 22 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.4 L/100 km combined rating. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $34.41 at our price setting.

When the Escape makes sense

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Practical details

The higher seat of an SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

What to expect when you book

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Checking your details

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
