Driver requirements

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
