Renting the 2012 Ford Focus
Renting the 2012 Ford Focus as a car by the month works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
Specs, explained
Power: the 2.0L 4-cylinder; drive: front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
At 7.6 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 23 litres of fuel. At our price setting, it costs about $11.78 to drive 100 km.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Living with the Focus
Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA lists 651 litres for luggage, roughly bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Who qualifies
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
How a booking comes together
All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
