About the 2016 Ford Fusion

If you need a car by the month, the 2016 Ford Fusion is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.

Under the hood

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid, with front-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

The EPA rates it at 5.7 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 17 litres. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $8.84 at our price setting.

Inside and out

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. The EPA measures its luggage space at 453 litres, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

Good uses for the Fusion

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Renting the Fusion from CarmaCars

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

From request to keys

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Renting: the basics

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

Send a request

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
