Want the 2005 Ford Thunderbird as a car by the month? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.

Reading the spec sheet

Power comes from the 3.9L 8-cylinder, driving through a 5-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

It is rated 13.1 L/100 km combined: about 39 litres every 300 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $229.30 at our price setting.

Living with the Thunderbird

As a two-seat sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. Luggage space is 227 litres, enough for about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.

Who the Thunderbird suits

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Renting it

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.

Getting the car booked

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

Driver requirements

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
