Driver basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

What to expect when you book

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
