About the 2012 Kia Optima
For a car by the month, here is what the 2012 Kia Optima brings, and how to request one. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Engine and fuel
It runs the 2.4L 4-cylinder hybrid, with front-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
By the EPA's combined rating of 6.5 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 20 litres. Expect about $10.08 per 100 km at our price setting.
A good match for
Its low fuel use suits long commutes and high-kilometre weeks. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Practical details
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Luggage space is rated at 283 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Getting this car from us
Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Booking made plain
Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Licence, age and card
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
Next step
Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.
